Hi girls, just wondering how much weight people gained in tri1? I'm getting concious of packing too much weight on, as I'm not the slimmest to begin with and short!
My MW said slimming world is free when pregnant..anyone know if that's true?

I lost about 7lbs because of nausea and food aversion. If you go on NHS website it'll tell you how much you should be gaining from what your weight was. :)

I put weight on but cant remember how much. In the whole pregnancy I put on 2 or 3 stone but lost it all now at 11months though o do believe breastfeeding has helped alot. Call your local slimming world and ask bit I didn't think it was true.

I put on lots of weight and I'm short, I wish I'd been more careful! In total I'm now just over 5 stone heavier than normal and I'm in lots of pain every day and really uncomfortable! I've only got a couple of weeks to go though and hoping to breastfeed and lose the weight quickly. I think it's important not to beat yourself up though - it's temporary and all for a good cause! Xx

Thanks ladies. I was 70kg when I first found out, and am now 72.9kg, so around 6.5lb. too much according to the guidelines! :(
Think I should've only put on 2lb! I'm not eating too much either (I don't think!!), but going to really watch it especially since I've got my GD test soon. Can't remember how much I put on last time but know looking at the photos I definitely should've been more careful.
It's so hard sometimes though isn't it, there are days when I'm constantly starving!! Xx

With my daughter I started at 183lbs and was 197lbs when I gave birth, I was down to 176lbs two weeks later.

This time I started at 173lbs, I'm now 14 weeks and weigh 171lbs.

Your body is doing a lot of work and needs calories, if your hungry them eat don't starve yourself, just try and eat healthy. I lost 7 and now I'm nearly in the third tri I've gained 8 so only 1 lb but Im overweight anyway. Your weight could also be from retaining more water and bloating :) x

Thanks ladies, seems such a trivial thing to stress about doesn't it. I just want to not feel and look like a total whale! Think I need to find some new recipes for inspiration, and healthy snack ideas. I'd love to not go too far over 80kg by full term (which would mean me not gaining much for a while!!)

I'm 25 weeks and still going to slimming world and unfortunately I still have to pay. You are still classed as a paying member which I think is rubbish due to me putting weight on but I see it as if I didn't go o would most likely put more weight on. So far I have put 10lb on.

I'm also concerned as I lost 3 stone last year and I really don't want to like on weight
I've already put on over half a stone

We should do a support thread on here for healthy eating

I put on more than "normal" in first tri esp considering my levels of sickness but I carry more waters than usual (my bump is on 90th centile my baby on scans is on 50th centile) and my hooks have gone massive up 4 or 5 sizes now. In 2nd tri I still gained weight but not as quickly so I think I'm in total about 2-3 stone heavier than I was before which seems about normal

There was a couple of kg difference in my weight from my booking in appointment to my weight on scan day. It was actually slightly less by the time I went for my scan.

I've gained about 1 1/2 stone overall throughout my entire pregnancy (I'm now 2 days overdue) which is within the guidelines of healthy weight gain for pregnancy according to my bmi at the start.

I've not made any major changes to my diet through pregnancy. I've started eating breakfast, have tried to make healthy choices when I can but have also had the odd take away and eaten nutella from the jar with a spoon! Lol!

Wow Emily0505, any time now! How exciting, sending you lots of luck. I also too love nutella by the spoon, or on rich teas!
Thanks everyone for the replies, it's always good to know you're not alone. Definitely up for a healthy eating support thread!
Eryinera I also bloat real easily, I think I've stored a lot of water recently- same as last pregnancy. My boobs have also grown loads already.
Just about to start looking into some antenatal exercise classes, or I might try swimming on a night. Need the motivation though!! X

When I found out I was pregnant I was only 125lbs now I'm 132 at 19.5 weeks. And with twins.
