How much pain is normal?

This is my second child and i do not remember any pain with the first one. I can "feel" where i assume my ovaries are as i am tender on both sides. When i turned over in bed this morning i had a nasty pain in my lower left side.
I also had a little bit of spotting after getting jiggy with my OH this morning. Has anyone else had that too?

I had preiod type pains for the first few weeks but they were never really painful, and i have had a few times when rolling over in bed my belly hurts.
It seems like theres no such thing as normal when it comes to pregnancy but if your worried i'd contact your doctor/midwife and have a word, you dont wanan be owrrying

Every pregnancy is different so you will probably come across things in this pregnancy that you didn't have with your last..

..I think most cramping is due to stretching and possibly the spotting could be implantation bleeding?

If you are worried, maybe your MW could set up for a scan for your piece of mind?

Maybe your ovaries are a bit swollen. I had overstimulation of the ovaries after fertility treatment when I was first pregnant. They were both the size of an orange and I certainly knew about it!!! They told me they would have only been worried if they twice that size and I was being sick and said that there's nothing they could do about it anyway and they usually go down on their own . I was in maternity jeans from 6 weeks but could have been in them before I even got bfp . Ask your midwife when you have your appointment.

I've had every similar type pains. sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right... I also had a bit of spotting (well it was more like discolouration of my cm) on Saturday night after me and DH had got jiggy on Sat morning. I've been fine since so I've not really thought about it too much but I was going to mention it to my MW when i see her

Hi Ally - am so glad you posted this cos am like you.. i don't remember any pains like this with my first...but am gettin AF like cramps on both sides of my belly low down and also on the left a bit further up. Was just chattin to my friend about it actually and i think tis maybe cos our muscles ave stretched before so are maybe stretching more quickly - i dunno bout you but my belly already has changed shape but higher up my abdomen rather than where i noticed my first bump lower down - tis bizarre. Are you finding you get the pains at the same times everyday ? i get them late morning then late afternoon and then when i get into bed in the evening - i am convinced it just our muscles slackenin off quickly though Ally cos my knees are also hurtin and I got outta the car a bit quick earlier and got a shootin pain in my groin and remembered about relaxin is it called? that chemical we got rushin round our bodies makin everything chill...try not to worry honey
