Noah has started being really restless at night and I cant think why, I wondered if perhaps Im not giving him anough food at meal times. So I was just curious, how much do you give your babies of a similar age? Currently I give him half a jar at lunch and dinner time and a little petit filo or stewed fruit pot. Should I be giving him a whole Jar? Cause He has his last bottle at 9pm but it now waking at 5am for another bottle, so I wondered if perhaps I wasnt filling him up enough during the day?

What do you think?

Damien hads about 5 or 6oz oz of milk mixed with redybrek and a fruit pot for brekkie, a whole jar at lunch and a whole jar at tea and sometime has a fruit pot after dinner too.
I would say he definately needs a whole jar if he'll take it. Damien has always had the whole jar, but that's just what I thought they should take as it's labelled per age group of weaning?

Braydon has slowed down his eating loads the last ferw weeks but before he used to have the equivilant of a jar a meal then a mornin snackk and a afternoon snack

 Eek I think I must be starving the poor man.

He has hald a sachet of Oat so simple for breakfast
then half a jar and a petit filo for lunch
bottle in the afternoon
half a jar and a pot of stewed fruit for dinner
bottle before bed
then a bottle early morning

I think I will have to give him more, his weight gain is still consistant but he is a big boy and I think from the sounds of things he should be eating more during the day, it might make him sleep better at night.

Dior was eating alot more when he was noahs age

she would have

8am......1 and half weetabix for breakfast with 9oz bottle
10am..... 9oz bottle
1pm.....jar of dinner with a pudding jar juice
3pm..... 9oz bottle
6pm..... pizza chips beans with a banana after
8pm.... 9oz bottle

and bits of fruit or biscuits through out the day

Damien only has a morning milk and a bedtime milk, not during the day, maybe that's why he's a porker?

Jacks general menu is
6.30 7.00 9oz bottle then weetabix with whole milk
9.30 couple of rice cakes or banana
12.30 has dinner i make my own but would be 1 full jar foloowed by yogurt or friut
2.30-3.00 snack maybe raisins or a biscuit
4.00 ish tea again a full jar and pudding (early 'cos he is ready for sleep)
6.30 ish 9oz bottle and bed

Just to be clear i don't make him go to bed at that time, he is just worn out, looking at it, it is a bit funny routine :?

lol, yeah Noah has his dinner at 6:30 he goes to bed a bit late at 9, because otherwise OH wouldnt see him in the evenings, but once we move we will make his bedtimes earlier.

BTW I gave him a full jar for lunch and he ate it all quite happily. Normally when I give him dinner he has the same as us and eats quite a lot, thats what made me think to increase his other meals.

Ince he hits one, I will cut out the afternoon bottle in favor of fruit and crackers and stuff, and give him sandwiches for lunch so he can feed himself. And give him ovaltine before bed, so he will only have his morning milk

Just re reading my own post has made take a diferant approach tonight, as OH seems to be working longer hours just lately :(

Jack is in bed at moment and i am making a big tea so am hoping he will eat with us and go to bed later

but before i put him to sleep 'cos that is his usual teatime i gave him a small jar of apple and pancake, hoping that will see him 'til about 6-6.30 until our tea is ready

Then hopefully bottle and bed at about 7.30-8

cross your fingers for me girls i can see this week being tough trying to change his routine

He is eating the exact same amount that Aimee is at 9 months and she is a really small eater. She will only just manage half a jar of food. She is tiny though!
