How much does your LO take for a feed??

Ive only ever been out and missed one feed - the online calculators suggest that she should be having around about 3oz per feed - but everytime she's taken six.

Mostly its DH shes been with - but we've also left her with MIL. The info on the web suggest this means shes being over fed - but DH has never mentioned that she's been particularly sick when ive been out.

And she certainly was screaming for more the night with MIL (we came home just has she was getting fed) - and wasnt sick/

any ideas??

I think go by what your baby wants and not by online calculators.

Chloe takes 5oz sometimes 6oz every 2 hours or so from about 7am till 7pm. We started off giving her 3oz at about 6 weeks but had to up to 4oz because 3oz just wasn't enough.

Definitely go by what your LO wants, it is after all breastmilk and easily digested.

Thanks. im just trying to check out that she wasnt getting fed to keep her quiet iykwim. Daddy is still not feeling ver confident at being on his own.

plus i have a longer night out next week so need to work out what i need to leve him.

I have read somewhere that babies take more when it's expressed might be a comfort thing?
