what is the minimum amout of ozs of formula you can can give a 5 month old.

willow hs gone off her milk lately and today she missed out on 14ozs.

I can't remember the amount but I think it goes on their weight. Something like 2.5 time their weigh in pounds. It won't do her any harm though if its just for a few days. I remember even before Aimee was weaning at around 16 weeks she would only take around 7oz all day. Just keep and eye on her intake and if it goes on for a while check it out with you HV. You say shes dropped by 14oz so how much is she actually taking?

This has helped me alot i wasnt sure of milk intake
riley has 25oz in the day
its
wake up - 7oz
breakfast some kind of fruit puree and 2oz
lunch some kind veg puree and 2oz
afternoon 7oz
bedtime 7 oz
im trying to wean heroff milk at meal times

I was wondering this also. Lewis is around the same age as Willow and his milk intake has started to drop down. At the min he has

Wake Up - 8oz
Breakfast - Puree/Rice & Baby Juice
Lunch - 8oz
Dinner - Veg Puree or Full Hipp Jar & 5oz
Bedtime - 8oz

He doesn't always finish his bottles and I have found that if I try him a spoon feed at lunchtime he hardly touches his bottle so I'm just sticking with milk for lunch at the min. Although its reassuring to know this is kinda the same as Riley!!

the thing that is worrying me though is that willow wont eat anything i give her weather it is a jar or baby rice or a puree she is just not intersted.

Every baby is different hun As long as she seems happy in herself and isn't losing weight I would try not to worry to much. Im sure she is getting enough to fill her cos if she is anything like Lewis if she was hungry she would soon let you know!!

but if its something she doesnt like she will scream lol

she just doesent seem to like anything i give her she will only eat baby rice and i dont want to just give her that as i dont want her to be fussy when she is older i fill like at the moment.
