How long were you waiting in the mat unit for your scan...

Hi all, my appointment is at 10.10am and my OH needs to get off (if poss) by 11.15 for something he cant get out of!. Did you wait quite a while for your scan, do they book them all in one go and it's first come first served? Im hoping that as we are earlyish in the morning we will be seen quickly.

my appointment was about 4.00 ish and we just got sat down and were called in so didnt have to wait long at all which I was really pleased about as I didnt think I would be able to hold water for long

No thats the trouble isnt it when you have a full bladder.

I think it will just depend on how they are getting on that day, if they are on time you should be straight in. It wont take too long your scan prob about 20 mins, maybe a little longer if your having a nuchal scan?

i had to wait 45 MINS!!!! but like said before it depends on your scan usit and how busy they are

Yea if defiantly depends on your unit.

I remember waiting about 20 mins for my scan with the other 2 but i waited ages to see the consultant.

In my hospital antinatal book, it says to expect to b there upto 2 hours for your 1st scan and appointment I do remember being there about that with my other 2 tho.

my scan was booked for 10.15, got there at 9.55 cos i was soooo excited i couldnt wait any longer, got called in about 10, (which was a bugger cos i hadnt had time to drink much) and was out the hospital by about 10.40 which included blood test etc
