how long was you in labour?

I was in "established" labour for 6 hours... basically I went into the hospital at 2pm when I had my show (I thought I was bleeding which is why I went in, as I'd had lots of bleeding during my pregnancy), and at 6.57pm out popped Tia...

I was contracting for another 3 hours before hand... they were every 2/3 minutes, and uncomfortable, but not really painful.. Just very irritating...

So about 9 hours in total... It was really quick... and only once I was in hospital did it get bad... my advice is to stay at home for as long as possible..

6 hours 20 mins. Waters broke at 11.55pm and the contractions started pretty much straight away. Went to hospital about 1am and I was 9cm already.

on my postnatal notes theyd written 7 hours

i had felt niggles for almost 48 hours before tho

the only tough bit was from 5cm onwards- 12.30pm til 4.45pm

i been in labor since the monday with contractions but they werent frequent. just now and then next day. show happened think the thursday or weds. Emily forced me to brake my waters on the friday about 5.30am. she arrived at 9.046am

Nooooooooooo Happybunny it was OK, it only got a bit much during the last 9hrs
Before that I got to 7cms dilated with nothing but some backache
Practise your breathing technique and learn how to relax and you'll be fine

with Ryan, i was induced at 37 weeks, 18 hours
with Luke, he was nearly 2 weeks late, went into spontaneous labour and it was also 18 hours! (no pain relief though with Luke and I recovered so much quicker after the birth!)

my waters didnt brake either.

i had period pains for about 12 hours that got worse, then i had contractions for 3-4 hours before i was in 'established labour' (3cm dilated) then i had over 20 hours of esablished labour. (the worst bit!)

I was 3cm when midwife came to do sweep on the friday

Didn't start to get contractions till Sunday at about 4am and she was born at 11.12am so about 7 hours.

Hi

waters borke at about 230 am sunday morning but had no contractions but had to go to emergency anyways. They said by monday if nothing happened to come back in the morning to be induced so in i went and Kiara was born by c-section at 1125 pm so i dont know if that counts so from waters breaking about 45 hours but from being induced about 12 hours

17 hours of hell for me, totally worth it of course but never again - elective c section for the next bubba ta very much!!!
