I'm asking this for a friend, she wanted to know until what age you sterilise bottles and dummys for?

It was too long ago for me to remember what I did with DS lol

yes... but by 10 months Tia was sticking rocks in her mouth in grandpa's garden so I gave up.... can't be any more bugs on dummies/bottles washed in soapy hot water than rocks from the ground :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

also you don't sterilize spoons and bowls

I think it about a year too. xxx

they recommend for the first yr but i stopped when they were both fully weaned because by then they are shoving toys and literally anything in their mouths so i have now stopped sterilising.

xxxxx

I sterilised milk bottles for a year but dummies I stopped once he was crawling cos he was picking up all sorts of dirt anyway  I never did it with bowls and spoons or juice cups.

We stopped about a month ago really, he's putting all sorts in his mouth so I'm not going through the hassle of sterilising unnecessarily..! He's not been ill so that's fine with me. On the back of the formula tubs though it says bottles and teats up til age 1 but everything else 6 months...

I did sterilise bowls and spoons but for a bout 6 months! Bottles for about a year but I remember towards the end of the year, I wasnt to fussed as I was when they were tiny babies as, like others have said, they are rawling all over dirty floors etc!
Not much point in sterilizing bottles when they are licking dirt of the floor hahaha
