how long is too long...

... to wait for sofas.

We ordered ours on New Years Day and we still don't have a delivery date. I've been given a provisional date of 9th April but they dont actually have the material in to make it so it may well end up being cancelled again.

Im getting so annoyed, Ive paid in full and could really do with that money! We're sitting on an airbed in the living room but Im so uncomfortable on it cos of my bump growing that Im not spending any time in there these days, and I cant snuggle up to my OH on the sofa to watch a film not fair!Im gonna set up the small tv and dvd player to our bedroom today so we can watch a film and lie on the bed.

I never knew how much I need a sofa until I dont have one!

I dunno what to do anymore!

OMG we had a similar thing with Hilary's blinds.....ordered 12th Jan and they said 15 days..........then they rang and added a week...then there were problems with the quality of the material.....long story short I cancelled the order and asked for a refund on the deposit...which only arrived yesterday. Jokers.

I wouldnt be happy with that Tiny - especially if youve paid in full!!

Thing is, I think there is a queue and Ive ordered my curtains and other pictures and candles to match the fabric exactly. If they cant get the fabric then at least I can take em to small claims for all that other stuff, I bought laura ashley material in the end cos it was so hard finding one that matched.

If I cancel the order, I wont be able to find anything else that matches within the budget and they wont take any responsibility cos I cancelled it. Im bloody stuck. If they cancel this next delivery date Im gonna ask for the contact details of their material supplier and ring them myself!!!

this is EXACTLY the place I found myself.....I'd colour matched everything after the effin blind man had been......they've got you over a barrel unless you are prepared to risk buggering all your other bits up. I have to say in the end I've found a massively superior blind and not compromised on the colour but I've had to pay.....

Yeah I should never have got all the stuff, they have well and truly got me!

I was carrying the swatch around for weeks going into every shop going and holding it up against material. I nearly fainted when I found one that matched and panic bought it cos it was discontinued in Laura Ashley and htey only had the exact amount we needed left, mind you it was down to £8 per metre And I LOVE the pattern, luckily we havent bought the matching wall paper yet as planned! Got a free sample of it in a print frame which looks quite good

OH said just cancel and we'l get elsewhere but the thing is they're the cheapest sofas I could find, Im really paying for it now though!
