As the title says really...

I know all babies are different, but how long should I expect a feed to take? I am mainly thinking about when people are round, or if baby wakes in the night how viable it will be for me to just nip out the room to feed? Or if I go out for the day can I just go in the toilet or something, or am I likely to be feeing for ages?

In the early weeks and during growth spurts baby can feed for hours while they increase your milk supply. You will be bum planted to the sofa for quite a while so i would say invest in a baby bib/ feeding gown if you want to feed while you have visitors. It will eventually get longer between feedings but for the first few weeks its literally supply and demand xx

Mine were both incredibly efficient even in the early days. Apart from growth spurt times the longest feed took around 10 minutes! Eventually they got it down to 2-3 minutes!

I was feeding 24/7 for the first few weeks... Literally! Now at nearly 8 weeks it's about 10 minutes per side xxx
