its probably like asking how longs a piece of string... but..

when did your Lo's head engage and how long after did u go into labour..

just today my doctor said in first pregnancy you tend to engage earlier on, and then labour normally occurs 2-4weeks after..

whats your views? xx

Do you mean fully engaged or partly engaged? I think my baby's head started to engage at around 34 weeks, fully engaged at about 37 and a half, had a sweep and gave birth by 38+1. Some babies don't engage until labour so I don't think what your doc said is neccisarily true.

I seem to remember mw saying at about 35 weeks Connie was head down and 2/5ths engaged. I know it was quite a while before labour.

Maia was fully engaged at 37 weeks and I went 4 days overdue, they she wouldnt come out and ended in emergency section. Some babies dont engage until labour starts.

Dylan's head engaged at 35 weeks (2/5ths) it stayed like that and i was induced at 42 weeks! It was horrible coz i got my hopes up loads that i would be having him 'any day' and to go over was just a nightmare for me. Made my pregnancy feel 10 times longer.

Neither of my babies fully engaged until I was in labour, I only ever reached about 3/5 engaged with both of them beforehand.

Amber started to engage about a month before she was due and she was fully engaged 2 weeks before my due date. She arrived 8 days over!

my first engaged at 36 weeks and was 10 days late
