How long after a sweep?

At our 38 week appointment yesterday morning the doctor did an internal exam and told us I'm 2-3 cm dilated already and she performed a sweep. Since yesterday afternoon I've been having brownish spotting, slight cramps and contractions that are a little more frequent and intense than the ones I was having previously. She did had advised us these things are all normal if they do happen so I'm not worried.

My question is, how long after you had a sweep did you actually go into labor?

I had 4 sweeps and was already 3cm dilated at 36 weeks.
Got induced at 42 weeks.

Had contractions pretty regularly after first sweep for about 2 days.. stopped. Again after every sweep except one, something happened. But no labour. Sometimes its just your body preparing.

i had 2 sweeps, on my second i was like 1cm dilated and it was successful I went into labour about 5 hours after and issy was born at 9pm the next day! fingers crossed for you x
