How hard is it...

...to try and hide being pregnant in a very nosey office?

I work in an open plan office with about 10 other people. Im sure my loo trips are making people talk, but to top it off today an engineer left a really heavy object in my way. Normally i would of just moved it but i refused, trying not to make too much fuss. I really dont want anyone to know just yet. Is anyone struggling to try and keep their pregnancy a secret? x x

Its very hard! Im desperate to tell everyone but want to wait till my scan.

I had to tell my boss yesterday as I had to keep ducking out the room during a one to one meeting as I felt sick and he was concerned for me! But he was ok and ensures me he will keep it to himself until Im ready!

I have told close friends and family but because people at work knew I was trying I do get asked if I am which is hard to deny as I dont want to deny my little one! But Im convinced they will soon all work it out when Im not drinking on nights out etc!

Youll get there but I know what you mean its so hard! Good Luck to all of us with the secret keeping!

oh i know i'ts so tricky!

i have told very close family, a couple of friends and a couple of people at work... sometimes i think "oh stuff it - i'm going to tell everyone" but then i think it is more exciting and sensible to try and wait a bit longer.... have to keep resisting the urge to put it as my status on facebook!!!!

oh well i have managed 1 week so far!!!!

I am having the same problem. I am still being sick sometimes during the day and have been sussed out by a colleague who heard me and also put together some other indicators. Only one working week left until my 12 week scan, though and then I'll be shouting it from the rooftops!

i often go down to my dads work and have a chat with a few ppl its a family business and we dont relle want the whole factory to know so i havent been done as much so ppl have been asking if im ok etc and when i do go down how am i suppose to hide my bump x

We havent told anyone which is making things even worse because i wouldnt want people at work knowing before our family.
We were hoping to keep our secret till christmas, so fingers crossed they dont say anything because i wouldnt be able to lie!

It's tough isn't it! We've told immediate family and that's it really. Want to wait and tell everyone else after the scan. The worst is when people ask if you are pregnant! I don't think I'm showing but just because we got married they expect me to have babies soon. Oh well need to keep quiet for a few more weeks. Even more annoying is DH's parents asking constantly if they can tell people - errr no! I haven't told my friends yet either as we are waiting until after the scan!!! x

totally with you on this one girls its really hard to not show any signs at work! in my office 1 lady jus had a baby and 2 are preggers so people are used to the signs!!!arhh.my mum knows as of last wk and told OH mum yestaday but sworn them both to secrecy!!! not tellin any1 else until my scan which is another 5wks and 4days away!!!! as im not booked in until 13.5 wks just preying i dont put any wieght on!!but work trousers r already feeling a little snug!! my work will not be impressed at all!! oops x

I found it quite hard to hide, i had to tell my supervisor.
In the space of a few months, we were all pregnant, inc the supervisor
I'm sure the company loved that!

I am finding it v difficult at work. The teenagers i teach are very perceptive as well as the staff. A kid told me last that i looked v pale and asked if i was ill! (prob due to my lack of fake tanning at present) I have been sitting at my desk far more than usual and telling the kids to teach themselves! I have faked an elbow injury so that I can't do any lifting, which has worked quite well.

I got my BFP yesterday and i have no idea how im going to hide from my collegues! I have 2 jobs - i do social work which wont be a problem as i pick and choose my hours but i also work as a waitress/trainer in a restaurant and i have no idea how im going to keep this hidden! I will have to make an excuse to prevent me doing heavy lifting maybe? Plus im ALWAYS the first one in the bar after work and a total party animal - how the hell do you not make it obvious that yourenot drinking anymore?! lol! x

Im finding it really hard to keep everyone from knowing today, my sicky feeling has really kicked in, ive had to rush to the toilet twice already!

I work in an office full of people and i have been x20 to the toilet today !!!! i tried to hold it in but couldnt lol x also my oh mother just asked me if i was pregnant.....she said my belly was big....she is not wrong it is big but dont want people to know yet xxx
