i am wondering if i have this too hun as my mum, nan and aunt all have it.

there are lots of signs or sometimes none at all :wall: serious period pains can indicate it along woith hip/ joint pain during or before af. BUT you can have it without the pain, i am waiting for a referral to be checked for this so if i find out more i will let you know

Hi

I have had it twice now and you can usually tell if something is up!!

You tend to have cramps at least 2 weeks before your af is due, you are so tired all the time, extremely bad tempered, your periods can become painful and heavier, your back can be very painful, you can hardly move some days, you get a lot of headaches.

I had to have a heatpad for a couple of days after my af had arrived as the cramps were so bad and I have also had to take time off work as I couldn't move.

There are also women who have it so bad but get no symptoms.

i didnt know it could come and go? i thought if you had it you just had it, as there is no cure for it?

here are the symptoms i found

 • Extremely painful (or disabling) menstrual cramps; pain may get worse over time
 • Chronic pelvic pain (includes lower back pain and pelvic pain)
 • Pain during or after sex
 • Intestinal pain
 • Painful bowel movements or painful urination during menstrual periods
 • Heavy menstrual periods
 • Premenstrual spotting or bleeding between periods
 • Infertility
i am being investigated as if i DO have it, it may be the reason i cant concieve and why i MC my first

Hi Lynette

I had surgery for it twice and the 2nd time (obviously) it came back. The 2nd surgery I had was different and more evasive so I have managed to keep it at bay.

It can cause infertility if it is very severe but I had a small amount on my uterus right down low so I always had bad backache as well some of the other symptoms. It won't cause a mc as I had 2 before I had endometriosis so don't worry about that hon.

I would get yourself checked out as it makes your life miserable and I can still get pregnant and pregnancy is also a treatment of endometriosis so speak with your doctor.

Good luck xx

I wonder this too. I get lots of heavy spotting before af and worry I have endo. No other symptoms though but is the factor hearing you can have it with no symptoms. I need to stop googling as its making me worry that it's what causing me to not get my bfp. X
