How do you go about getting a private scan

Hi ladies

I've seen a few of you mention that you've had scans privately - just wondered if anyone could give me any info on how to go about getting one and the best time to do it?

Eg, do I need a referral from a midwife? Do I need to be 8 weeks?

I don't think I'm really going to believe this is happening till I see it on the screen!

How many weeks? You can see a little bean properly from 6 weeks. I just typed in google private scans near my area and phoned around.

It's worth calling a few & doing your research as prices vary but maybe dome ladies on here from your area that can recommend a place for a private scan. Congrats!

We were considering a company called baby premier. They have them dotted around I think

The place near me did an early reassurance scan from 7 weeks and was £65 x

Thanks ladies did a google search and there seems to be a few in Leeds, going from £69 to £99. Spose I should wait till midwife has seen me!

It's worth every penny as the 12 week wait till your scan doesn't half drag in! Lol xx
