Hi there, so I've become much more aware of myself in the last year or so regarding my cycles. I have always had problems with headaches and fatigue but now I'm starting to think its all down to my fertile week. I get nausea and headaches, aches, cramps and strange tastes in my mouth, and just generally feel like I'm coming down with a virus. I'm just feeling a bit fed up this month as a couple of weeks ago I think I got a faint positive a few days before af was due, but my af ended up being 2 days late and very heavy and painful and then last week I started feeling awful I thought I was getting the flu. I am due to ovulate on the weekend so I'm putting it all down to this. 2 weeks of pms and period pains and then a week of feeling crap from ovulation gets me down a bit. Sorry to moan. But upside is me and my partner have decided to try for our second baby officially so I guess we can get started this weekend!

Try dark chocolate - it really helped me with the headaches.

Thanks sunflower I will definitely give it a try, the headaches are the worst for me x

The flavanoids in the dark chocolate increase blood flow in the brain and also the high magnesium content helps the nervous system. If that doesn't work then it may be your liver is overloaded and having to process all the hormones is sending it over the edge, in which case I would eat more fruit and veg, less junk food, avoid artifical sweeteners and fried food for bit.

I find that I can’t sleep well. I get insomnia during ovulation which is really annoying

Ok! Will keep that in mind, not sure if it’s my diet though as I’m pretty healthy! Yes I have insomnia too I couldn’t sleep last night at all, hoping I’ll make up for it tonight

Also I can’t sleep well after BD and this happens quite a lot during ovulation:)

I get insomnia around ovulation - it's the estrogen.

I didn't sleep well again last night so must explain it, also woke up with another headache, going to stock up on some dark chocolate today so not all bad :)

I sleep like a baby after bd.. most of the time even before hubby *laugh*
In my fertile week I'm pretty much a crybaby about everything

 I'm very weepy too, bloody hormones  my daughter has a cold now so I might be coming down with, may explain why I'm feeling extra crap lately
