How can we make some extra money

I have been paid today half of what i normally get on maternity because it ended this week and also cause they werent told i was going back at the beginning of the week.
Anyway it has all gone into my overdraft from Christmas and now i have no money to cover my part of the mortgage or to pay my loan and buy things for Leif and i dont know where i can get some money from. Can anyone give me any ideas on what i can do? other than try to sell things on ebay, we have tried that and never seem to get anywhere

Where I work, if you don't keep asking for it they will sub you. Can you not ask your work if you can have extra payment in advance just to cover you. Maybe explain your situation. This will give you more time to sort out something moneywise for next month

Unfortunately we dont really live in an area where a garden party is a done thing, its a bit rough and your more likely to get things stolen from you or mugged for any money that you make

They said they may be able to give me an advance on my wages but it will then leave me as short next month.

As much as I hate debt and over borrowing, is there no way at all you could postpone any bill payments, borrow off parents, or extend overdraft or existing loans?

Its not ideal and not something I would usually recommend. But if you really have no money I can't see of a quick fix way out or we'd all be doing it Unless you have a flick through the classifieds in the papers and see if there is any cash-in-hand paid work going? Like giving out flyers in clubs, short notice pub shifts etc..?

Its funny you should start this post because I was going to start the same one!

The reason why I was thinking about this is because although our cash is ok at the moment, I want all debts paid off by the summer before we TTC and we're really going to pull the finger out and pay of loads of it.

So I have been thinking of some things I heard mentioned the other day like:

- Renting out your garage / driveway (we have a garage built for a mechanic but I dont want 3-4 cars parked outside my house)
- Letting a room (I don't really like the idea but if the money was better I would. Apparently its like £25 a week for 1 bedroom in your house - rubbish)
- Some sort of online job like article writing for example (I get orders for these all the time in work)

Any of those sound doable?

We have hired the garage out before but there wasnt enough room for our own stuff in there so that has ended, we are letting a room out to my brother but he is only paying £100 a month so its costing us more for him to live there in a way but there is no talking to him cause he can get really nasty.

I wouldnt mind the article writing though, might have a look at how i could get into it.

i have thought about becoming a leader for Weight Watchers when i have lost the weight. i think that you can keep 25% and our has about 150 people coming, which is about £260 a week.

I wouldnt mind the article writing though, might have a look at how i could get into it.

I contract work out to freelance writers but usually they have specialised experience / knowledge of a certain topic. Maybe see what your speciality would be and post for jobs on those kinds of forums. Also, it might be worth doing an article of say 1,000 words that you could send as a sample to companies.

just google mystery shopping. 2 websites that usually have assignments are 'retail eyes' and 'international service checker'.

recently I got £17.00 for a check at aldi supermarket and £15 for going to a building society and asking about mortgages for 10 mins!!!
