Do my hormones keep passing to her even after the birth through breastmilk?
I knew she could have discharge or a mini period or swollen boobs after birth and she had all but swollen boobs. It'd stopped but i noticed a few days ago her boobs are now swollen and she's had a little more discharge.

Is this normal? I wasn't expecting it to happen this late.

Oh and does anyone know if me drinking caffiene will pass it to her? It was probably coincidence but after my first cup of caffinated coffee for a long time yesterday she was awake for 8 hours straight, luckily it was day time or i may have cried if it'd been through the night lol

I only drink decaf and then rarely.

FWIW my LO started being awake for long periods of time during the day from around 10 or so weeks. It was exhausting as he was feeding every 90 minutes -2 hours in the nights also and I never got any sleep. Plus when he is awake in the day he needed constant input or else cried. You may well find like me you have a baby who is just awake for extended periods of time. It does happen :wall: My LO is finally growing out of it now at 10 weeks or so. Still stays awake for hours though, just not from 9am till 7pm anymore, more like 6 hour stretches.

Lola got a little bit of discharge but i don't remember how long it went on for. I'd ask your HV if your worried

As for the caffeine I still don't have much because Lola gets restless maybe one small glass of coke at the most. If i had more then that she'd never sleep

About the swollen baby boobs... it's totally normal. Becky had them for a few weeks and I was worried but HV said they can stay for a while. Right enough they were gone by about 8 weeks.

Tea has more caffiene in than coffee, just so you know. But you can buy decaf everything these days, mabey best stick to that, as you said - imagine if that had been over night!! :wall:

As for the other things, I had a boy imafraid, which have equaly strange things down there  Best to as a HV, I dunno if they can get thrush or anything.

I've been drinking only decaf since before i got pregnant but cos we were out for lunch i couldn't get it, but tbh shes been just as awake the past few days so im not sure the caffiene played any part

She sounds a bit like Galen during the day Sherlock she gets up about half 7 every day, feeds for ages, has a nap aroung mid day will wake around 3 and then wont sleep at all until 11, she wants to be on a boob the entire time shes awake and im pretty sure she moans lots when her tummy hurts. but on a possitive note she's been sleeping 11-7 the past few nights. she seems to be just doing extremes of sleeping and waking

i havn't met my HV yet, they turned up yesterday as i was leaving to register her but i'll have a huge list of little questions for them, they'll think i'm worrying loads but half of it is just being interested in why things happen etc
