Holiday?

Hey all

I'm planning on taking LO away on holiday as soon as I can, but obviously I need to sort a passport out for her and am aware this can take about 6 weeks+ to do.

I'm just wondering, what do I have to do about her Dad? He's not in the picture anymore and hasn't seen her since December. Do I need his permission to get her a passport and even to take her on holiday?

you dont need permission to get a passport anyone who has pr can do it. If lo's dad has pr and you dont have a formal residency order then yes although as he hasnt been in the picture i wouldnt worry about it

I looked this up when I wanted to take my little one away...if the lo normal resides with you, then you can take them out the couple for a couple of weeks without the permission of the father...any more than that though you will need his permission.

im unsure but my brain is telling me that i heard somewhere that babies under 1 yr are covered by mums passport? or did they get rid of that

they got rid of that, everyone has to have a passport
