I want to have my hair highlighted sometime before Christmas but as with everything I'm thinking is it safe? I think highlights are best because the chemicals don't have contact with the scalp? What do you think girls? Help me out, should I have a new hairdo or not?

I still get my hair highlighted hun, no problems!

Yeah get it done, it should be fine.
Although maybe you should have a strand test done first on your hair because the hormones can sometimes make the colour take differantly apparently.

I have to have my red highlights redone soon to.

Ooo goodie, I think I will book an appointment then. Thanks, I feel better about it now.

Yeah it will be fine Mermaid, I have been having my hair done all through the pregnancy, my hairdresser said its fine and I havent encountered any probs! If anything, my hair is in the best condition its ever been in :D

just had mine done yesterday, and it aint fallen out or gone green lol

Go for it! I have been dying mine all the way through my pregnancy.

Yup, me too - been having it done the whole way through!
L x

I dont thin it's got anything to do with harming the baby, I think it's more to do with the colour reacting differently to your hormones and what not...like not going the right colour, or washing out really quick.

I had mine done 2wice when i was pregnant.

Well I decided to take the plunge and I'm going to the local college salon to have hair highlighted! Yes I know I'm brave! Well I've been watching celebrity scissorhands lol! I hope my hair doesn't turn green or orange or something!
