Has anyone ttc had high prolactin and it be caused by a brain tumour ?. I know stress and pcos can cause it too. My results were 550. I have lots other symptoms have done for years, episodes of insomnia, fatigue, bad migraines, I'm worried its a tumour on my pituitary gland. Am having more blood tests for pituitary function. x

Had an MRI as had levels over 3000 last year but it was nothing but my PCOS. Had bloods done last week and it is now 737 doc says it's fine but it's still towards the normal upper reference level. Going to discuss all test results with the doc next week as I'm having problems with my cycles after being regular for over a year :( I want request more blood tests too but my GP is reluctant. I also have insomnia since then as well and fatigue but migraines.

I've had high prolactin which turned out to be caused by a benign pituitary tumour which I'm now getting treatment for under endocrinology. It's not as scary as it sounds!! I'm very happy to answer any questions you have about my experience off it. I just don't want to post too much right away as I like to know all the fine details about things but I know not everyone feels the same!!

Thankyou ladies, it's been confirmed via a scan that I have pcos. I am confused though as she says if I have regular periods I don't need treatment to get pregnant. ?. x
