High blood pressure

I had raised blood pressure throughout the whole of my last pregnancy. I managed to stay off medication until 35 weeks.

This time my bp has been normal until this week. Today it was 153/85. I'm 29 weeks tomorrow. My consultant doesn't think I need to start on medication yet because it could be normal for mine to be slightly raised. They are just monitoring me more closely until he decides I need it.

Has anyone started on labetalol this early and managed to get to full term?

I have had 2 IUGR babies and this one is being monitored too, already smaller than average so I'm fully expecting to have to deliver early. I'm just worried I don't make it to 36/37 weeks if I need medication soon.

I was started on them a few weeks ago and I’m 36 + 2 no one has mentioned bringing me in early. I’m a nurse and check my own blood pressure at home at it’s perfect but when I go to a clinic it jumps ups. They never mentioned the possibility of being me in early. Hope all goes well x

Thank you. I hope my BP can be kept under control. I suppose I expect to be induced early as I don't grow big babies, they tend to stop growing and movements slow down. I have low papp-a levels too and I know it's not confirmed that it can cause growth problems but my MWs think that with me it does cause issues.
