Hiccups

Just wondered how many times a day your LO's hiccup and for how long (roughly).

My LO gets hiccups at least 3 times a day, sometimes 5 or more and they can last a good 10 mins some days......its a horrid feeling when it goes on for so long, and just checking everyone else has LO's that hiccup a lot?

Mines always at it! Its a weird feeling isnt it? I try to move to help, but it goes on and on

mine last for about 2 - 3 mins we must of talked them up as hes got them now lol

my lo hiccups quite abit too at least about 2-3 times a day

MY LO has them often too! The others didnt have them this often but MW says its perfectly fine!
Serendipity, its hard to explain Like a constant mild tapping?!

Mine has them at least 5-6 times a day. When I went for my growth scan on monday the sonographer could see that the baby was practicing breathing a lot which is why it's had them so often.

Don't know how I would describe it though, it's like a rythmic prod down really low for me. Sometimes it's whole body flinches and you can see them.

aww im glad you posted this, my LO's the same and i absolutely hate having hiccups so i always feel sorry for him.

Feels kinda like a very slow , strong heartbeat because its perfectly in rythem and its just a little bump every 5-10 seconds or so in the bottom of your stomach. Theres no mistaking when you have them i think you'll soon realise what they are because its different to anything else you'll feel and can go on for quite a while.
