My girl got them all the time in utero and gets them all the time now she's out! I'm sure it's nothing to worry about (I certainly didn't) but check with midwife if it's playing on your mind
Mine gets it all the time. Its something to do with them practicing either swallowing or breathing. Just strengthens their diapham for when they exit the womb xx
I'm 38 weeks and baby gets them about 2-4 times a day. I didn't worry about it until I came across something on another forum saying too often or hiccuping for too long (longer than 10 minutes according to the post I saw) can be a sign that something may be wrong with the cord. However I don't know what evidence this was based on and no doctors/midwives hae ever mentioned this to me so I'm trying not to worry! As far as I am aware as MummyBee says it's a good sign as it's what sometimes happens when they have been practicing breathing. If you find out anything from your midwife let us know!
