Just got my BFP so having a good read through First Tri - looks a bit scary, but very excited to be here. to all my old friends from ttc, glad to have caught up with you. Hello to everyone who doesn't know me I'm looking forward to sharing First Tri with you.

Does anyone understand how tickers work. I am 11dpo and fertility friend says my due date is 29th Oct so I used that date to set my ticker up and it says I'm in my third week?? How can that be when i only ovulated 11 days ago?

Thanks oyu Guys. Thanks for your messages Bexter! I did set my ticker based on fisrt day of last AF. Must just be how it works out somehow.

Hi Becs,

your ticker is correct. Pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last menstrual period, so for most people with a normal cycle, the day of ovulation is counted as 2 weeks pregnant.

When you get to the day the your af should be due, you'll be 4 weeks preg.
