I have noticed for a couple of days now on my left nipple if i squeeze for a while a clear liquid comes out, only enough to see not much but thats a good sign right!?!
I sort of lost hope with bfing when the mw couldnt say if it would happen again (not getting any colosum/ milk until day 4) but im thinking if it starts now then i should be good to go by labour?
Any advice welcomed im very giddy have run out and bought a tee shirt for bfing. Anything else i need- i have a brest pump somewhere. x

Sounds good hopefully things will go to plan for you this timr. i found thr essentials to be nipple cream, breast pads and a feeding pillow

Good news, i am.getting stuff this time round too. You will need Lansinoh, breastpads and nursing bras and determination

Agree with the ladies, also if you can get to a BFing support group then the level of support can be invaluable xx

Lansinoh, and lots of it! I have also found their breastpads to be the best- no leakge, and they are contoured, so don't squish your nipples.

I have a box of breast pads from last time and some nipple cream someone bought me for my baby shower as a joke gift but i liked it lol. Ill look up lansinoh and see if there are any support groups around here. Maybe even start reading up on bfing, didnt want to get my hopes up and then nothing happen.

Lansinoh was on offer at boots recently. Its great stuff! Yes, the liquid will be clear or a bit cloudy.
Then colostrum is a bit cloudy/whiteish and starts gradually turning into milk day 3-5

I have been known to have a wee squeeze now & again just to see if I can still get something out. Silly, I know, but it gives me a wee bit more confidence that I'll be able to BF.

I honestly hand on heart never got anything last time not a drop until day 4 so all this is very confusing. Im going to ask at baby and toddler if they have any breast feeding groups local because it says online there is one there but i have never seen or heard about it! I dont want to be silly and spend a fortune on a lot i can buy a lot of it later on so im going to stick to the nipple pads i already have and the boots nipple cream for the first few days, then i will look into better branded stuff and maybe some nipple shields etc x
