This is my first post, but I have to confess to lurking for the past 3 months

It sounds silly, but I was afraid to post in my first tri just in case something went wrong    - crazy I know.

Anyway, you all seem like such a nice crowd, and seeing as I'm off work for the next 2 days I thought I'd take the plunge and come in and say Hi.

This is my first baby and it's due on 29th October. Have had scan at 10 weeks, and blood work and also had a renal and liver ultrasound as polycystic kidney disease runs in my family and my consultant wanted to make sure I didn't have it - and thankfully all well with me

I'm only here in the UK until the end of June and then Hubby and I are moving to NZ (hubbys a Kiwi), so bump will be born over there. Midwife and consultant have both said, there'll be no probs flying, and that as I'll have all my medical records with me, it'll be very easy for my NZ midwife to take over my care.

Well, that's me ( and my life story!!). I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months.

Hi, welcome etc :D

And I can imagine about the being scared before 12 weeks, it's such a relief once you're in here! Congratulations :)

Hi, welcome and congrats to you and your OH on baby.

Its a greats sense of relief after first scan for everyone i think.

happy posting

xx

Hi again all.

Thanks for the lovely welcome!
Well, had a busy day today - trying to sort out visa and renew passport for NZ. Think I'm getting there but being realistic, I think it'll be middle / end of July before we're all ready to go.

We're shipping lots of stuff over, and flying via the states, so going to have a little holiday in Washington, New York, Los Angeles before flying to OZ and stopping off in Sydney for a few days. Then it'll be on to NZ and hopefully before I know it, the bump will have landed!!

Have a few days off work this week, but think I'll be an evening poster in general. Work has a strict no forums rule (Dumn I know). Still, at least I'll have something to look forward to in the evenings!

Mine does too

Oooh sounds very exciting!! :cheer: That'll be a lovely adventure :D xx
