Update three***

Well we seen the osteopath and he says that Aiden seems really tense, that he would like him to breathe deeper etc. He also said that it looks like he is traumatised from the birth and when he touched certain spots on his head, Aiden started crying :( We're going to start going weekly and he will work on his breathing and also his head. We've been advised to stop laying him on his head at the back as much in the mean time. My poor little man :( Hopefully this will work though :)

Update two***

I managed to get an appointment for cranial osteopathy at 12pm!!! :)

If this works I will be the happiest Mummy in the world  Wish us luck!!

Update one***

Hi girls, well just to let you all know on the GOOD side of things - Aiden slept all night last night :cheer: I actually feel like screaming because I'm so happy  The past few nights we've stopped giving him his 12:30am and 3:30am bottle, and instead making all his feeds between 7am and 10pm. We've also started putting him to bed at 7pm and waking him at 10pm for a quick bottle.. We actually don't know what to do with ourselves in the evening because we have time to ourselves! :D The past few nights he's woken at 12 and 3ish expecting a bottle, but we've just put his dummy in and he eventually has went back to sleep..

Last night he stirred once and fell back asleep!!!! I can not explain how good it was to get a proper sleep  Also today I'm feeling good as I've found an osteopath in Glasgow and I'm going to give them a phone later and get an appointment sorted for CO :)

Thanks again girls for all the advice and I'll keep you all updated :cheer:

Aidens crying is getting so bad now :( It went from him crying about 30% of the day to about 80% now

I honestly don't know what to do anymore. OH is going back to work after being off 2 weeks with tonsilitis, and I know I won't cope on my own tomorrow. I am sooo tired most of the day and there is nothing I can do to stop him crying. He's isn't hungry, needing changed, in pain or anything, he won't amuse himself in any way, when he's wakened you need to be in front of him giving him constant attention, and even doing that he'll cry mostly.

I am at my wits end. Tonight we were at my Mum's for dinner and he started halfway through dinner, my Mum kept saying, put some jam on his dummy  I was like - Mum it won't make a difference! Nothing will. Sometimes I need to leave him somewhere safe and walk away because I can't take it, it just makes me feel like crying my eyes out  I know we all have days like this, but he is getting worse and worse

I don't even want to take him out anymore because he cries in his pram, in the car, everywhere, the only thing that calms him down is putting music on loud, and that's how I know there's nothing wrong with him, because it always makes him stop.

I've been taking him to chapel every week as he's getting christened soon and I dread it every week incase he starts, he usually falls asleep but when he starts to whimper I have to bounce him, or lift him up and down to distract him :(

I honestly don't know what to do, any advice? I will try ANYTHING..

Hi lovely,

Have you tried carrying him in a sling - like a Moby wrap or a kari-me? He might like to be near you and be much calmer then and you could go about your daily jobs.

Valentine Xxx

Hiya,

Have you tried the cranial oesetopath? Thomas was quite a cryey baby and my health visitor suggested it couldhave been because of the birth, he had a forceps delivery and this can leave the baby with headaches, we took him to see the CO and he did improve, they realign the head without really touching them, I think there have been a few people on here that went to see one.

I hope this gets better for you, I know it is a nightmare but it does het better xxx

Valentine - I have a wrap sling and he doesn't mind it, but he's soooo heavy - well over 16lb now. I will give it a try, anything is worth a try now.

Missac - No haven't tried CO. I'm going to look into it right now though, I swear I would have him hypnotised now if it worked  He didn't have a forceps delivery or anything, but I was pushing for over 2 hours, as he was stuck in the birth canal.. I wonder if it is that??

Thanks girls, gave me a wee bit of hope xxx

If he got stuck in the birth canal then it could be that he was squished a little around the head area, I really hope you get it sorted, please let us know how you get on xxx

oh hun i'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Sam had CO and in the same week started on C&G comfort milk and really settled, so we don't know which did the trick, maybe both? I still have to have him in the sling for day sleeps or they don't happen!
Hope things get better soon, i know it really wears you down

Ahhh, Corey was like that... if he was awake he was crying... no exhaduration!! I wanted to die...

Turned out to be Reflux, Silent relfux, meaning he didnt throw up.

Have you taken him to Dr's? Just to check for urine infection, thrush etc etc ear infection, you never know... Iv hurd it all get passed off as colic, then turn out to be one of the above.

I know what its like, if you need to talk PM me hun xxxx

I've taken him to the docs, it got passed off as colic - there's no arching of the back or anything though, and he brings his wind up well now. Then the next time at the docs it was reflux, even though he wasn't being sick - never mentioned silent reflux. We still have infant gaviscon from then so I may give him that in his next few bottles just to see if it makes any difference.

He did have thrush, but it's cleared up. I may take him to the docs again though, just to be sure.

Sooo thankful for all your advice ladies xxx

aw I'm glad you went to see him so quickly hopefully he will be able to help, I laughed at first about thomas thinking it was new age type stuff butit does work, let me know how you get on over the weeks xxx

Aww, poor wee man! I really hope it helps him
