The nurse at my local surgery phoned yesterday to ask me how the weight loss was going etc etc and then we got ono the topic of me being sterilized and asked if that was what i wanted still so i said as far as i know and he completely shocked me and said they can sterlize me when im 26 if thats what i want because i felt so strongly abot it and i paused...........lol. He said he will give me a year to think about it and in that time i have time to decide if i want anymore children or not.
So me and the oh were talking last night and my maternal instincts are screaming at me to have another baby and have been since i know i can be sterilized now. Ive said to my oh i will go on the pill for now and I will want to lose all the weight i have before i have another baby, just to be healthy and make another pregnancy easier on me. He agreed.

Its not a dead cert we will have another baby as i wouldnt get pregnant deliberately just because my oh said no at the moment, but if he changes his mind we will be joining the club. But knowing this op is available to me has made me change my mind about having more kids.

But im thinking whem Imogen is at nursery so another year maybe then il be ready. Btu in the meantime i really have to make my mind up!

that's great they have given you the date - as it's made you think about more!!!

i wouldn't go for the sterilisation though. your still young, and if your unsure now, who know's how you'll feel in 8-10 years or whatever!

Thats true and im very fickle so i really have to think long and hard but for now Im going to make a appointment to see the quack and go on the pill.

Because i have 2 children and i thought that was enough - maybe still but i have time to decide!

sorry didn't realise that was the reason. like others have said you are still young and that seems quite a drastic decision you got another at least 15 years or so.

you can have more long term ways of contraception like the implant or injection. x

its such a big decision for you to make hun. I suppse knowing they can do it so quickly means its do final see how you feel in a years time
