The postie has just delivered a letter from the hospital telling me that I was tested for sickle cell and thalassaemia. I don't have any abnormality and they have kindly attached a card for me to carry stating this.

Are they for real???

I can understand the importance of people with various medical conditions carrying a card identifying their condition but do people really carry cards telling you what they don't have??? Insane! And not to mention, surely a bit of a waste of NHS funding???
