sorry it has taken me so long, we don't have the internet for the time being and i only have my phone!
on Sunday 28th July i was at my aunties bbq all day and when i got home my waters went at 00:15, pretty much straight away i had some tightenings that id say were painful but managale, i rang midwife and had to go in to get checked over, they sent me home with some cocodomol after confirming it was my full waters that had gone. Once home by contractions deffinately were starting off, no way could i sleep through them, and all i kept thinking about was how my partner was still away and i couldn't get in contact with him. Monday 29th july- my partner phoned me so i told him the news so he is going to try and get off the rig to come home on compassionate, i was contracting very irregular with some more painful than others randomly, it got to about 13
0 were my mil phoned the ward, i was contracting every 4 mins for over an hour, so i went in to hospital were they sent me home and didn't even examine me, they said they wernt strong enough, 180 - phone call from partner he is off the rig and in Aberdeen but wasn't going to get home till gone midnight, so his mum booked him a flight. Joe my partner walked through the door at half ten, as soon as this happened my contractions were sooo strong i thought i couldn't cope, id not slept since the Saturday night and this was the Monday night!! I was in agony and crying, i rang the labour ward and they told me to come in anyways as it had been 24 hours since my waters had broken! 110 get to hospital and found out i was 5cm, i was being sick at this point so no gas and air for me, i had the epidural which was amazing as i was so tired and i actually fell asleep once it was in, on my next examination i was fully dilated with only a smal thin bit of cervix left, i started pushing, and he was coming fast that she actually told me to stop pushing so she could gt everything ready! The epidural ran out by this point which im actually so glad it did, i knew when to push and felt everything and even though it was painful and stung like hell it was worth it!! Henry made his appearance Tuesday 30th July at 079am,
