Hi. My son is five weeks old. During and after every feed he becomes agitated and begins to squirm. It seems to hurt him when he brings up his wind.The doctor thinks he may have gastric reflux. Does anyone know anything about this?
I don't know much about it sorry Dawn Ann, but wanted to send lots of hugs, and I hope you can speak to your doctor more about how to help little Santino
Also, there's plenty on the web too, here's some options to look at;
My daughter had reflux and we were given Galvescon powders to mix in with her milk and they helped loads - speak to your doctor or HV about it.
I know how hard it can be to see them like that but the Gaviscon does help
Has your doctor given you Gaviscon powders? My baby has reflux and Gaviscon has helped him keep his bottle down.
Try tilting your baby's moses basket up a little, this really helped Jude. Also keep the baby upright for 20 mins after each feed to help reflux. Jude used to wince and arch his back while feeding.
