ok so i have a 6yr old, he will be 7 in may.

i hate his dad, we split when he was 2 and got by with arrangements etc....but keep it to the bare minimum

well last night while arranging pick up (long story really, its in the relationship section under grrrrrrrrr) anyways a few terrible words where passed.

usually when my son goes to his dads, i ask how hes getting on and everything fine, but cos i got the police involved im reluctant to ask how my son is cos hes a twisted lier and feel that any text sent to him will get shoved bk in my face.

anyways, a friend has suggested i get my son a mobile fone so he can text me when at his dads so i dont need to have ne contact with his dad.....but hes 6! i would teach him how to use it etc and get blocks on it so he can only ring and text certain people and it means he can txt and ring his dad when hes at home with me.

what are your views on this?

Hey, sent you a PM re this, couldn't hurt. Nothing to stop you texting the ex, keep all your sent messages as proof if he tries to allege anyting, you need to be in contact re the child but you can keep it civil and unless he has evidence to prove otherwise then nothing he can do or say.

his dad is in the huff and not responding to any text i have sent only asking how my son is.....so its making me panic even more!
I hope the little visit he got from the police has scared him a lil bit, i dont actually think he thought i had the brass neck to do it, but then hes probably not to bothered.

Im just so frustrated at the momento and only way i can think about getting around knowing how my son is, is getting him a phone.

Believe it or not me and my ex got on quite civily when he wasnt with his current girlfriend, now i just get abouse, but id have asked him what he thought about a mobile but im not gonna bother considering him anymore x
