help ! opk question could make me very happy lol

Ok , using opk tests for the first time , there lil sticks with green ends lol and ive lost the instructions!

ok well used one few days ago and nothing , altho an evorpation line apeared after a far while

well today at 11 am i used one again , and within 3 to 5 mins ( hadnt left the loo so couldnt have been long ) a faint but noticeable 2nd line has apeared !

now am i jumping the gun to think im ovulating ? ( been confirmed i havent done for at least 3 months ) and should i take hubby to bed tonight lol we did bd last night , b ut i didnt do none of the legs up stuff as i didnt think i was gonna ovulate !


so does a pos deffo mean i need to bd now ? and as much as poss for what 3 days ? and do i take a test every day see if it gets darker ?

sorry for rambling , i now its not a bfp but its the closest ive had hahaha

so help ?

A faint line doesn't mean it's a positive. It has to be equal or darker to the control line.

If you have enough OPKs keep testing every day around the same time instead of every few days, test lines becoming darker every day might mean you're approaching ovulation. It's important that you don't go to the loo for a few hours before testing so that hormone is not diluted.

You should dip the test for a few secs (5-7) till the mark and read the result as you did.

so this may be leading up to it , but untill its the same colour or darker im not ovualting ? got ya ! see i just thought it was like a preggy test and poss was poss lol hope it means that i will ovulate this month then , much later then i use at 14 days !

eta: i know it's pretty exciting to see two lines isn't it? Don't forget, LH is always present in your blood (unlike pregnancy hormone) so it's likely you'll get a faint line no matter what CD you are on. This is why it's important to test every day, otherwise you can't compare your lines and see whether they're getting darker or not

Also .. to add to what Andrianne said ... when you do get a + (the same colour as the control line or darker) it means you will ovulate within 24-36 hours ... NOT that you are ovulating when you see the +. So to be safe .. assume you will ov within 12-48 hours (to give yourself a bigger time frame) after the + and BD everyday if you can from that time ...(that night, the next night and the night after .. something like that .....)

I usually get a faint line first and then the darker line follows within 1-2 days afterwards....

P.S .... I've got the same OPKs by the sound of it .... mine are to be dipped for about 10 secs .. and then read at 5 minutes ....

And don't drinks lots in the hours leading upto testing ... it dilutes the pee!!

Also ... as Andrianne said .. you must test everyday otherwise you might miss it!! I sometimes test twice a day as soon as I get the faint line ....

im an awfull drinkers any way , no chance it will be dilute ! im so shocked at this is happening and i COULD ovulate this month , all be it proper late on !
