Hi everyone, thought I'd seek some help from you guys.

We'd like to name our daughter a old fashioned name that is slightly different, so far we have Summer, Gracie & Poppy in the running but would really like some help with some more.

Surname is BiRD so has to go with that.

Thanks in advance xx

I love oldies too!!

I've just had a Rosie, my mates just bad a Florence (Flo)

What about -
Elsie
Harriet
Ruth
Annabel
Penny
Betsy

I've always loved Cecelia but hubby poopoo'd it also Louisa and abagail and Lilly

Angie? Sorry couldn't resist!

I started thinking of Enid blyton names. Belinda, Alicia, Anne, Darryl, Janet, Margerie. Any suit?

I like Betsy but not Betsy Bird sounds right? Also love Elsie but oh isn't keen? X

My daughter is called Nancy, we always get such positive comments on her name and haven't met any others, yet!

I'm leaning towards old fashioned names. My father in law has been doing a family tree so I've looked there for inspiration and a couple of names that took my fancy were Amabelle and Violet x

My daughter is Madeline Grace, wish I'd saved Grace for this baby.

What about Eloise, Elise or Flora? My mums name was Flora. I can't imagine telling off someone with my mums name though, so out of the running for us.

Elsie? Ada? Ivy? Dorothea? Edith (Edie for short?)

My friend has Edith, victoria and Eliza.

Robina.

If you really want inspiration on old fashioned names, read the obituaries.

Sounds morbid but its a good place to look.
