Currently me and OH work together on our own business. It is a sourcing and manufacturing business and we work a lot with factories in the Far East. We have a huge amount of products to our disposal, however deal mainly in the DIY area as that's just the kind of customer/retailer that has approached us.

However since having Max my passion for the business has dipped so I have decided to start my own product range. When Max was tiny I used muslin squares by the bucket load, especially the large cloths as I used them as breastfeeding covers, as well as a light blanket, swaddle and general cloth. However these are very expensive in this country so I have sourced my own and am already coming up with new funky designs daily. I also have someone creating my logo, which I have based on Max (as he is my inspiration) and it's looking great with his mop of curly blonde hair. Now I am brainstorming names and that's where I would love your help.

Initially I was going to use Baby Max as that's what all the kids used to call Max, however I didn't want to put some mums off thinking it's a boys product. Myleene Klass has a product in Mothercare called Baby K so I couldn't use Baby M or Baby H (surname is Hart). I have a niece I call Minnie, but Max and Minnie is too close to Max and Millie, the range in Asda.

I've been playing with words including Mummy, Bambino, Babe, Precious, but anyone with any inspiration would be much appreciated. The range will expand so I do not want to limit myself by calling the range Muslin or Muzzy.

Look forward to hearing all your ideas :) xxx

What about maximum or maximums? You could spell it differently, or use different coloured font to make the 'max' or 'mum' stand out. Max-e-mum, maxymum something like that? X

Thats a great idea. Are you going to do the little palm size muslins too? They were great for drying her little lady bits after we had cleaned her with cotton wool and water

they were hard to find though

Or, i know you said you dont want to go down the muslin/muzzy route but maximuz? X

I've been re-thinking not using the muslin connection like you say SunnySue and am now thinking of using:

Muzzy & Me

What do you think?

Lynds - I haven't looked at small muslins but definitely can, are they baby flannel sort of size? xx

I think it needs to be simple and catchy - Muxx ? Play on Max and mucky pups?

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

I am not a native speaker though and its late now so will try to come up with more options tomorrow.
Mucky Muxx if you fancied something longer.

Not got any suggestions for your name but I'd love you to PM me when you get up and running. Muslins are my passion (to buy lol) and they are always a lovely gift.

I bought some proper shit ones from ebay (£6 for 3) so it's made me very wary.

I'd love to see your stock though

Thank you for all your suggestions, we are currently having a play with some names and artworks, I'm so excited to get stock, etc.

Like you, Nat, I love muslin cloths and have been thinking about starting my own range for a while. Then I thought it's now or never so I'd just go for it. They are very good quality and I am already looking at a muslin range, including sleeping bags, which will be nice and light for spring/summer :) I'll send you some details as soon as I have them xxx
