Recently i havent had much luck in sleeping. Im turning from side to side all night long only to end up on my back numerous times. My sides, ribs and back ribs ache all night. Especially my left side which i know is supposed to be the best side to sleep on. Only way i can describe it as if i have trapped wind all the way down my sides and back ribs, which i know i havent. It eases off after an hour of getting out of bed. Ive tried putting a pillow under my ribs and between my knees. Nothing seems to stop it
Has anyone experienced this? And suggestions? Thank you xxx

Hi mrsmnk101,

Sorry to hear about your troubles!

How far along are you by the way? :)

I'm just over 13 weeks and I've had the same uncomfortable feeling you describe for weeks already! Sounds stupid but I find a hot, relaxing bath then straight to bed helps, and a firm pillow between your legs, with one knee up! Don't know why, the pillow seems to take weight off the bump and back?

Hope this helps!

X

Im almost 22weeks. Maybe i can try a bigger or firmer pillow. The pillow never seems to stay between my legs and ends up on the floor or somewhere hidden under the sheets. X

Oh dear haha!

I think you can get special pregnancy ones that look like huge "U's"? Never tried them though!

Have you tried sleeping in a separate bed to your partner, just to see how that goes? Being cramped up is never good. Hate to say it but I sleep amazing if I send the other half into the guest room HA! ;)

Lol might have to invest in one of those U shape pillows. Husband definatly wouldnt be happy having to go sleep in the kids rooms, they wake up extra early sometimes. Our bed is quite big anyway so i dont think sending him out would change much. Im also getting to that stage where im feeling out of breath so when i do end up on my back my breathing decreases alot. But i cant help ending up like that x
