Help for a friend - feeding baby on SMA Gold

Just a quick question for a girl I went to ante natal.

Her son (who is 4wks) gets fed SMA gold. He is alway fine when she makes it herself but she has bought some of the ready made cartons for when they are out visiting people etc. and every time he takes the ready made he is really sick...

Have any of you found the same? Is it stronger?

Its got something in it which makes it last longer in the carton. Im not sure what it is but it makes it taste creamier, thats maybe why its making the baby throw up.

i was warned about this my son is on sma gold...apparently according to my health visitor the pre made stuff is thicker and babies have trouble coping with the thickness, she said if we didnt want to pre make them we should take a couple of bottles of pre boiled water out with us and some powder in a tub warm the water up and add the powder once its at the temperature we wanted it
