Hi all,

I am new to tri 2, just over 13 weeks now and time seems to be flying by!!!

I went for my first scan last week and this time I will getting another 4 scans as my first baby was small birth weight. JUst wondering if anyone else has experienced this before??

Welcome to Tri 2 I've not been told how many scan I'll have, but so far I know I'll get 3. I got my first at 10 weeks, the next one is tomorrow at 13 weeks and another one around 20 weeks (for the gender). I wish you lots of luck during this pregnancy

I had so many scans during my first pregnancy, but this was also to check on the growth as it was twins, and it is a fairly normal procedure.
I am sure you will be fine, and they'll be doing this as a precautionary measure to ensure your little one is developing well in there.
I'm having 3 scans altogether that I know of this time around. One at 11w, one at 20w and my next one which is at 30w, just to check on growth as well, mainly because I only have one kidney and was very close to getting pre-eclampsia last time around.

Hellloooo! Welcome to tri 2. This is my 1st baby so not experienced that but as long as you are being monitored you're in good hands I'm sure little one will catch up xxx

Hi i will also get extra scans as my firt was also prem she was 5 weeks early, and they have said this time that will do an extra cpl of scans to check the baby i growing correctly and to see if they can find any reason why my 1st was prem.
