I timed my baby's heart beat on my doppler last week and it was 140, then I did it last night and it was 156. Is it normal for it to change as much as this in just one week, or does it normally stay about the same?

Heart rate changes depending on what you/LO is up to.

Tally's used to rise after a shower, i think it was the heat, and how much i've loved washing during this pregnancy.

I timed hers today and in the space of 15 mins it went from 172 to so fast i couldnt count it back down to 160.

The midwife also found it to be raised during one appointment, but it was after she'd been proded and poked and ater 15 mins it was back down to 150/160

Thanks for that, i didnt really know to be honest.

What is the best way to time it? i counted how many beats in 5 secs and then x by 12.

I counted how many in 15 seconds, but if the HR is constant every 5 should be fine.

I tried counting it in a minute but i couldnt keep up lol

Thanks Clare, lol I tried doing that aswel and couldnt keep up, i got all hot and bothered :rotfl:
