heard babys heartbeat today

it was lovly and clear 140 bpm (do they say thats a girl or boy?)
all is well so far
Got amnio next week and i can find out the sex of baby

i heard mine again today and it was 128 which midwife said, according to the old wives tale, is suggestive of a boy (which is what i have thought i am having since my 12 week scan)
funnily enough i thought the saying went under 140 boy over 140 girl so not sure what that would mean for you!
think theres a whole variety of bpm myths tho

i was told (old wives tale) if LO has a high hb over 140 its a boy BUT my LO has consistantly been 150 and its a girl lol

Hi Jemz glad you heard LOs HB it's great isn't it. I think you having a boy! I have low heartbeat too and been told boy! Who knows with old wives tales though, only few more weeks before we find out for sure though my scan is 2nd Jan what about you?

im actually havin my amnio done next week aand havin the scan done while im there, so knocking 2 birds with one stone as they say...im just hoping the baby is in a tidy position to see its bits lol.
