I have never really liked fruit and veg but now that I am pregnant, I know I must eat them. I am struggling to come to terms with it but I just don't seem to be doing so well. I've started drinking smoothies without all the bits and lumpy-ness but I know that I need to do more but I am finding it to be difficult. Would really appreciate any advice or tips on how I can eat fruit and veg and actually enjoy it.

can you sneak them into foods you do like? like adding salad in a sandwich you like, berries to breakfast/yoghurts/ice cream and bulking out things like lasagne/pastas with veg where you won't notice it so much?

Can you make pasta sauce with tomatoes, carrots, onions garlic all whizzed up in a blender? Do you like soup? There are some nice soup recipes which can again be whizzed up so you don't get lumps of veg. I particularly like homemade chicken and veg soup.

I sometimes fry sweet potato, parsnip, swede, squash etc into vegetable chips for my kids. Or for a healthier version slice them and spray with olive oil and bake on a baking tray...

Are there any types of veg that you like? Sweetcorn?

And I nearly forgot - fruit!

Try covering berries in yogurt and freezing them. My kids love these as a treat. You can also cover strawberries in chocolate (less healthy). If you freeze bananas they actually taste like ice-cream anyway!

Sorry I haven't got much input myself, as like you, I'm in the same boat...

However, an idea did come to my head. I'd never be able to afford the ridiculous prices, but have you looked at juiceplus? All the promoters that my Facebook is bleeding with swear by them (as they would of course) and is claimed to be safe in pregnancy xx

Frozen fruit is good :) especially with yogurt or frozen yogurt :) yum! Bananas with melted chocolate, yum :)

Things like salad in sandwiches and also vegetable chips, I love parsnip chips!

I have a business with Forever living and take something called nature's 18 which is the benefits of 18 fruits/veg in little chewable supplements which I'm loving especially as I keep being sick right now lol.

I've been doing my best to have frozen fruit when I can :). Sometimes frozen strawberrys have been helping my nausea :)

Agree with soups also! :) some really nice recipies. I love broccoli and onion, and carrot and coriander. Yum :) xxx

Your smoothie idea is really good, I have a formula that kind of works for me for smoothies... One banana, handful of spinach or kale and then something citrusy or tangy like Pineapple, strawberries, raspberries etc topped up with water.

-Mashed potatoes ... Add spinach at the very end -yum!
-Have you tried roasted veg rather than boiled or steamed? You could serve with pasta and a tomato sauce if it helps disguise?
- tomatoes on toast with black pepper ( try adding avocado, basil or other herbs or greens)
-Soups are also great.

I love veg tho!

Have you got a pregnancy vitamin also?
