HE WAKES!

today Jakob has woken up by himself 3 times for feeds and been a proper piggy!!! im so happy it was so hard and upsetting seeing him so limp and tired all the time and having to wake him up then battling with getting him latched on whilst half asleep!

well now at every feed he has had a good feed on 1 side, burp, good feed on other side, burp then on top of that he has in a bottle what i just collected from the other side in the breast shell i have! he just had that now, and he is at the moment sucking my arm! he cant seriously want more!

Im just so happy...and on another note them nipple protectors u get are amazing!!!! they have made it so much easier cause i have inverted nipples it makes it hard for him to latch so now its just like putting a dummy in his mouth and it pulls them out so i can feed with 1 for abit then take it off and he will latch straight away!

Those nipple protectors were a life saver for me, because i was so engorged and big Ewan couldnt latch on, but with the nipple protector it stimulated my let down reflex, and because it was so fast it kept the protector full of milk so he always got a contstant flow.
The midwives told me off for using them saying that i would never gets him to breastfeed properly, but after a while every time i fed i would alway try without them and eventually he got the hang of latching on plus my milk had settled down.

I did nt find the nipple shield that collect the milk untill he was afew weeks old so i got soaked or had to sit there feed him on one side whilst i held a cup on the other hubby thought it was hilarious an threatened to take a photo!! he never did thank god!!
