HcG levels

I had bleeding when my period was due but one week later I had over 10 positive pregnancy tests.

Based on my ovulation date I would now be 5+4 and had an early internal scan today to check viability. No gestational sac could be seen and I was diagnosed with PUL (pregnancy unknown location). My HCG result was 734 and I need to go back in 48hrs for second test.

Has anybody else experienced anything similar? Is this likely to be a MC/ectopic pregnancy?

You wouldn’t see anything on a scan at that hcg level Hun. I’m surprised they’ve diagnosed you with a PUL already.

I had an ectopic in March last year and the subsequent pregnancy I had hcg levels measured. First lot on the Monday was 400 something then it was 1000 on the Wednesday and they scanned me on the Friday and there was a sac in the womb. To see anything the hcg level needs to be 1500 plus. Sounds like either you’re a bit earlier on than you think or if your pc date is spot on then could be indicative of a problem. Hang in there. You’re not out yet x
