Hcg and ovulation after MC

Hi girls

I was just wondering about hcg and ovulation after mc.

I miscarried at 12+3. Its been now 14 days since it happened. Bleeding has stopped. Had sex many times already. We decided to continue straight away.

Did a pregnancy test IC this morning with fmu and the line is barely visible but still there. Looked very very faint. How long does it take for hcg to go down to normal levels?

What about ovulation? I guess it will happen once hcg is back to normal?

Please share your experience.

My docs always said if it's still positive 2 weeks after you need to call the epu.
I did get a faint positive 2 weeks after my first mc, and I didn't ovulate that time xx

You can still ovulate with a small amount of hcg in your system, although I'm not sure of the exact levels.

It can vary how long it takes to drop but I would have thought that you'd test negative within the next week if the lines are so faint today.

I had a scan after one of my MCs to confirm that I had passed everything and she said it looked like I had ovulated but I'd poas that morning and still had a faint line on it and that's when she said that you can of with hcg in your system.

Thanks Peanut. Did you go to epu?

I think mine is the faintest of the faint. My oh probably would not even see it and the colour looked like gray.

So how long after did you get your AF if you did not ovulate? x

I had a line on my test after 2 weeks and she just said to test again in a week and call the EPU if I still had a line then.

If it's so faint today then I would expect that your levels are pretty low.

I can't remember when I got my afs after my MCs except for when I had the erpc and if you count the day of the procedure as CD1 then my AF arrived pretty much on time.

Oh, if it's that faint it should be ok.
I didn't call them cos mine was a super faint one to, but I didn't get a positive opk (I mean I could have missed the surge but I didn't get ov pain either). My period came a few days later than normal, i think I had a 36/ 37 day cycle normal is 33 for me. Xx

I had mine last week and the lady said everything was clean and ready.

It was two weeks and four weeks after.

I had extra scans as after the mc I had an area of fluid in my uterus and they wanted to make sure it had gone.

I see. I only had one scan. Well I guess I take one day at the time and enjoy sex.

I'll do another test on Monday and think hcg should be at normal levels. x

Hi Charlotte, I'm so sorry youre going through this, I think you can Ovulate soon after you HCG levels go back down, so just try to enjoy sex and hopefully it will happen soon, here if you need me sweetie xxx

Yes the line is super faint. I did the test with fmu and waited for 10 min.

I enjoy sex again. My oh is very happy to have sexy time again. Not going to use opks cause they are useless.

I don't feel like the same person but I hope to feel like myself again soon.

I ovulated 3 weeks after my mc, so sorry Charlotte. I still struggle and mine was 6 months ago. xx

Charlotte, I have been off here for a while and didn't know you had got your BFP. I remember you from the TTC threads. So sorry for your loss. I m/cd at 11 weeks and I'm pretty sure I had AF within 4 weeks and OCD 2 weeks after that. I remember worrying about when ovulation would happen again because I wanted to get going quickly.
