Oh yes. I've had a few moments where the panic hits and lasts a few minutes and I can't believe it....then I get on with something and forget about it until the next time. I keep thinking to just go with the flow otherwise I'll go insane. I'm not so worried about the birth or seeing him or having him, I'm more worried about how I'm going to react and feel. I'm really scared about being depressed and overly tired and cranky and having sore bits and pieces for a the few weeks after the event.

Only 3 weeks of work left - thank christ!

Hi

I can't believe how quick the time's gone, feels like only yesterday when i got my bfp.

I'm not sleeping well at the moment.........starting to worry about labour and the pain in general, i'm also worried about the pain afterwards...hoping my mind will be too preoccupied to notice!

Sasswa, i think i have about 3 weeks left too......not long! I think we will have to shortly start a countdown thread for june mums to be!!!

Hope your all feeling well??

I was feeling OK until my sister had her baby on Monday night. She was 10 days overdue, they booked her in to be induced but after only a couple of hours after they decided she should have a c-section. She was getting really bad pains, they said her birth canal was too narrow for a natural delivery.

She's in a lot of discomfort and very immobile now. I felt really anxious about my own birth yesterday but then my yoga teacher told me her sisters experience.

She also had her baby on Monday night, she went into natural labour 3 weeks early last Friday and coped with the contractions all weekend at home. She wanted a home birth. But by Monday evening they had to ask her to go into hospital despite being 6/7 cm. They gave her an epidural in the early hours and she had her baby quickly after that.

She said the pain was bearable and was really positive about it all, so that cheered me up a little.

What can we do eh, baby has got to come out we just need to go with the flow and deal with everything as it happens.

Not too long for me now either. Bit scared at the moment as my mother and my sister both has all their children between 30 and 37 weeks, my sister being the earliest having her daughters at 30 weeks and then the second at 32. So at the moment i have everyone on my case, but atleast they are all looking out for me which is very nice. The only thing is....Although i could drop at any moment, im a little bit silly and still havent packed my hospital bag. The babies is done and dusted, but i just dont know what to pack for myself. I have asked tons of people, but some people say pack this and ten others say no dont.... Any sugestions?

Thanks for your help. Good luck everyone, Sarah xxx

33 weeks tomorrow, so past my sisters carrying dates, hope i go full 9 mnths.
thanks il check it out.

33 is good going given your family history. There are a couple of people on here who had their LO's at about then and they are all doing great.

Good luck and keep us informed.

i was fine until i got up this morning then panic really set in  my bump has dropped im guessing the head is engaged everytime i cough or sneeze the is one hell of a pressure down below :?

oh i get that all the time. its horrible when people make you really laff that you end up actually wetting yourself, lol. bit embarrassing but all fun!
i dont like it when im sat down too long and when i stand it takes ages to straigten out and get me and baby comfortable again.

good luck every1 xx

littlemoo - i know what you mean about feeling the urge to pee and then not being able to straighten up when you've been sitting for a while.. i have a desk job... when i stand up (bent at first) i feel a really sharp twinge down below like i'm going to pee any mintute...

i'm not too worried about the birth yet... give me time thou! at the moment i've been thinking about things going wrong... I know i sound stupid but i've started to worry myself about the baby being born with a problem... i keep going over foods we're allowed to eat and not allowed.. i'm sure i haven't eaten anything i shouldn't... and i'm sure i haven't been over doing things... i think it's just that my last scan was at 20 weeks... seems so far off! i have anti natal every 2 weeks now and the MW listens to the babies heart beat - so i should just relax but i can't.... i keep thinking would i know if something was wrong?

x

i know that feeling too hun. with my sister having her child born with only one hand i was really scared all the time.but i told the midwife and she wrote it in notes, so that when it came to my scan they sat and let me count all fingers and toes. it was great and a big reliefe. i was really scared about what i ate that i became really fussy about my food and some times wouldnt eat anything if i wasnt at home doing it myself. but the midwife assured me i can have most things in small amounts, now im fine and dont worry too much. Just try to have fun and dont worry bout it too much thats what im doing now, big mind rest when you think about other things instead.

good luck. xxx

agh..i'm so glad someone else knows that feeling!! i was trying to explain that thing to my other half when he made me laugh so hard i nearly wet myself...i keep getting a quick sharp twinge as if i'm about to wet myself and then the next second its fine again...i really hate it coz it keeps happenening when i'm talking to customers at work..hehe and its hard to keep a straight face!

Thanks so much for that thread with the list of what to take to hospital. I am further on than all of you and still haven't packed - my dh is going mad at me!!

I'm still working until Friday this week (yay!! ) and I keep thinking that I'll be fine til then!! Better get my finger out!!

Yay i was 37 weeks yesterday.......only 3 weeks to go!!! I finished work last Friday so it's been really nice pottering around and chilling at home....i'm getting lots of cleaning and jobs done.......as well as sitting in the sun!!!

Getting quite impatient now, been having a few twinges and i keep thinking 'Is this it' ?? i've also got an upset tummy.......has anyone else, wondered if my body is getting ready and having a good clear out, sorry tmi!

I've started to have lots of cuddles this week with hubbie and been for a few long walks......hoping it will start somthing off.........as i really don't want to go past my due date!

Still feeling well, and i'm really craving sweet things at the mo.....really worried about losing the weight after......but trying not to think about it too much.

How is everyone else, getting nervous like me now the day is getting nearer??

Amy xx

Sorry to ask - but when you said dodgy tummy - do you mean (SORRY!!! ) diorhea (sp?). I had my first ante natal last night and she said that can be a good sign as it is as you said - your body having a clear out!!

Ooooh, how exciting - let me know!!
