As the title says. Me n oh want to get married in turkey but we don't want to.go through the travel.agency the only thing I'm concerned on is the legal side of it all what needs to.be done and in what time frame

think uve to be there 4 days before wedding to sign stuff etc not sure how exactly its done but i know a girl who got married and had to get married at end of her trip?? another girl i know went for 3 weeks and got married in middle with close family and loadsa people joined for last week??xx

Yeh u gota be there for four days before u get married but I was wondering if u gota do any legal.stuff before u actually get there so it doesn't delay the wedding or anything

I got married in Turkey, you need to get a certificate of non impediment in the uk before you come' then take that to tthe nearest british consulate in whatever area of turkey you want to get married approved. You also need photocopys of passports etc. Also if youve been divorced etc you need proof of that. Unless you live there or know a lot of people' will be easier to use a weddng company as although it only really takes a day to sort all your paperwork you have go to lots of separate offices. Plus you'll want to someone to book everything before you get there. Make sureyou dont get changed a fortune either as things really are alot cheaper such as cake' flowers etc. If you need any help just let me know.

Ahhh a pro thank u very much. We dint want to go through a company cos I no u could get things cheaper and stuff and we wanted to get married on a boat and my dads friend has one. Who.do u get to.actually marry u how is that bit organised The paper work stuff we was just going to hire a car and. Do everything in one day. Does u have to book an appointment to do all of the paper work from the UK or is it a case of u can just turn up

Theres quite a few things to know' although its quite simple if you do.. If you go to a forum www.turkishliving.com then go into the search area and type marriage you will find everything you need to know and more from there. You dont generally need appointments for anything in Turkey but i think we had to get one for the consulates office. Wheres abouts in turkey are you thinking of getting married? xx
