I'm currently 30+1 and for the last week or so I get random times where my bump feels incredibly hard to touch but also uncomfortable and like I've swallowed a boulder.

Typically my bumps is quite soft apart from where you can feel the baby's bottom/limbs sometimes, but right now it's super hard from pretty much the top of the uterus under the ribs to the bottom. Under my ribs feel really tight as well.

It goes away after walking a little or shifting position, but this is a new thing that's only happened maybe 3 times in the last week or two, usually after eating or in the evening?

Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Sounds like braxton hicks kind of like practise contractions completely normal and. O thing to worry about xx

I gave braxton hicks a good google and it sounds like that's what it is! Although these tend to last for a long while, not just a few seconds or minutes? So my stomach will be hard for a few minutes but then I'm uncomfortable for a few hours afterwards?

In my first pregnancy my stomach would go hard for hours, i never really told a midwife until quite late on but all was OK for me. It used to go hard after walking or more activity
, and i remember it doing it on and off too when i panicked becausd it seemed regular... But again wasnt a problem and i didnt go into labourn at that point.

Any concerns though just phone a midwife :)

Thanks for the replies all. <3

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have my 31 week appointment with the GP on the 4th so I'll mention it then

Mine lasts ages too :-)

Contractions are more like period pain, more in your back and more in waves
