My son's gift to me this morning... diarrhoea!! He was considerate enough to contain the poonami in his nappy which was good of him! Oh the joys!!

I'm having a fun day so far however Rosie is just refusing to have a nap this morning!! And I had planned to nap when she did!! Just want to curl under my duvet for a few hours! That would be best present ever!! Xx

I got a card, bar of chocolate and a framed piece of Isabelle's art Oh and a bubble bath - bliss!

Last year I didn't really notice mother's day as I was too exhausted.

I didn't get a card but we went to frankie and bennys. My OH and I have also just had a blazing row, oh well happy first Mother's Day! Oh and LO does not want to sleep either and has been whingey all day. Roll on bed time.

No card or pressie for me yesterday either!.. said he 'forgot' on the plus side.. I had a hen party spa day.. then came home to my husband who had finaly bought a card and box of choccies. naughty men!

Aaaaw he came good in the end!! It's a grey area Mother's Day - some of my mates partners don't get them anything on behalf of their kids as they say 'your not my mother' but I think until their old enough to do something themselves the dad should always get the mum a little something, at least a card! X

I absolutely agree Holi, i feel sad for the ladies whose husbands didn't buy cards or give the mummies a day off. My husband bought a card, flowers and a small gift from my little one, gave me a lie in, cooked a lovely meal, did all the nappy changes etc so all I had to do was play and spend quality time with my little one. We all work so hard every day, it's nice to have a nice Mother's Day and we can return the favour on Fathers Day! X
