hair falling out

I seem to be losing handfuls of hair...Is this stress or a post pregnancy thing?

Try not to worry! this happened to me after both my babies were born, i lost alot of hair from the sides, i was so worried but it didnt last long.

it's happening to me too. I had it post pregnancy with my girls.......don't worry, you won't go bald!

mine did (and still is) falling out. I asked my gp about it and he said it could be lack of iron. He gave me some iron tablets to take.

mine is starting to grow back now at the sides... ive got little curly tufts

This is very common after having a baby, it's all to do with hormones.
While you are pregnant your hair doesn't fall out as much as it should, after you have the baby, all the hair that should have fallen out before, does now!
My hair is still terrible, the plughole was always clogged and I got really worried about it. It's growing back now but still looks bad

mine was the same hun it was everywhere and poor christopher kept getting it stuck in his hands and in his mouth in the end i got so fed up i had it all cut short (was quite long) seems to have stopped now xxxxx

mine is coming out as well, when I run my fingers through it there is loads on my hands. Poor Oran always has long hairs in fingers cause he is grabbing it all the time, Im forever picking long hairs of him. Last night when I made tea and passed OH his plate he said....could I have my saussages minus the hair please - Id malted all over the plates and hadnt realised pmsl

I lost loads and I have fine hair so was really worried - it does stop. I now have my new hair coming through

Mine has been ok, but my friend lost loads of hair at her temples after each of her 3 babies. Grew back fine though

I started losing mine when lily was about 5 months, it was abit later for me because I'm breastfeeding, I think it stopped when she was about 7 months.

I then went and got a good haircut lol.

mine started falling out about 2 weeks ago ............ glad you asked the question....... I was also beginning to worry .... glad it is normal, although not much fun

You grow loads of hair during pregnancy and when LO is born you no longer need it and the hormones that start all the haor growth stop anyway.So it will come out, but you wont go bald honeatly!
